Welcome
to the Frontier Little League Website. Here you will find information
about the upcoming 2009 Little League season as well as other information
relating to our league.
Frontier
Little League was established in 1961. The old Federal Little League
was established in 1958 and merged with Frontier in 1974. Since
then, Frontier Little League has been setting the pace of excellence
by providing baseball programs of instructional quality to all of
its participants. As a result, the program has earned honors for
their commitment to the local community and its players.
The
district is located in east-central Tucson covering an area approximately
17 square miles roughly bounded by Campbell Avenue and Speedway
Blvd. on the Southwest to Wilmot and River Rd. on the Northeast.
Last
year Frontier Little League fielded 23 teams from Tee-Ball through
Seniors. Its volunteer core of more than 50 people from its board
members, coaches, and umpires continue to set the pace of excellence
to provide the highest quality of play for its players.
For
over 44 years, Frontier Little League has provided the opportunity
for youngsters to participate in organized baseball in the Tucson
area. Frontier Little League is a huge success through its volunteers
and sponsors.
